Jotham will speak at 7:45 pm on the Jotham Stein For Congress YouTube channel from his Campaign’s headquarters at 790 Main Street in Half Moon Bay, CA. Silicon Valley and Half Moon Bay, CA. 21 May 2026 – Independent Congressional candidate Jotham Stein has been crisscrossing the 16th Congressional District to meet as many voters as possible in the last weeks before the June 2nd Primary. He’s met with voters at Farmers Markets from Pacifica in the north of the district to Willow Glenn, San Jose, in the south, including hours spent talking with voters at the Portola Valley, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Campbell and Saratoga Farmers Markets. Last weekend, Jotham spent hours at Campbell’s Boogiefest.

The Final Push Before the Primary

It’s the Primary home stretch and a big weekend of campaigning for Jotham. Before 9am Saturday morning, Jotham was out meeting voters at the Saratoga Farmers Market. He stayed till the Market closet at 1:00 pm. After a lunch in his car, Jotham drove to Campbell’s 47th Annual Music Festival. Boogiefest features a prime “free speech” location on Campbell Avenue, right in the center of the festival. The festival closed for the evening at 6 pm, but crowds didn’t clear Campbell Avenue until 6:40 pm. Jotham was there till the end. This morning, Jotham started handing out his Stein-For-Congress-QR-Code-on-the-back square cards at 8:45 am at Mountain View Farmers Market, even before it officially opened. He was there when it closed at 1:00 pm. Later Jotham returned to Campbell and had a great time meeting voters atBoogiest until it ended until next year.

I Voted Today. Please Vote, Early If You Can

I voted today at my favorite ballot drop box outside City Hall in Half Moon Bay. Please vote. And please vote early in case you get too busy or something goes wrong on election day or the Postal Service messes up. If you’re voting by mail, make sure to mail your ballot in at least a couple of days in advance – USPS sometimes sends the mail to a central processing facility and won’t postmark your ballot until the day after you mail it, so if you mail your ballot on election day, USPS won’t postmark it until the next day, which will invalidate your vote.

Our democracy depends on you. You can make a difference by voting for me, the Independent Congressional Candidate, in the June 2nd Primary. I really hope you’ll vote for me, but, the most important thing is that you vote, no matter who you vote for. I would rather have 100% turnout and lose by one vote than win with only 40% turnout, which is what’s been happening lately. Our democracy depends on you.

A Busy Stretch on the Campaign Trail: Conversations Across the District

It’s been a very busy couple of weeks for Jotham and the Stein for Congress campaign. This past Saturday, Jotham stayed close to home, meeting voters at the Half Moon Bay Farmers Market in the morning before spending the afternoon at the Half Moon Bay Wine and Jazz Festival. The following day, Sunday, Jotham traveled to the Campbell Farmers Market to continue speaking with voters. One couple, accompanied by their four- or five-year-old daughter, spent nearly 15 minutes asking thoughtful questions about Jotham’s plans to help fix America. As they left, they thanked Jotham for the “honest conversation.” Jotham replied that if more Americans were as engaged as they are, our country would be in a much better place. He also made sure to thank their daughter for patiently waiting while her parents talked politics.

Yesterday, Jotham spent hours meeting voters at the Pacifica Farmers Market. Even many who didn’t stop to talk still thanked him for being out there, meeting voters face-to-face. Today, Jotham began the afternoon at the Portola Farmers Market before heading to the Los Altos Farmers Market later in the day. At both events, Jotham not only met new voters, but also reconnected with longtime supporters who have stood behind his Independent campaign since he announced his run for Congress in January.

If you see Jotham out on the campaign trail, please stop and say hello. Jotham firmly believes that government should be about you—the voters, we the people—not political parties or big money.

Independent Congressional candidate Stein concerned about nation’s political polarization

Frustrated with political division and the limitations of the two-party system, Congressional candidate Jotham Stein said he is running as an Independent to offer a different approach to governance.

“I got so upset with what’s going on in the county,” said Stein, who is running in the 16th Congressional District that includes Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View. “Good people have to get up and run.”

Stein does not have a traditional background in politics; he is a longtime attorney and principal of the Law Offices of Jotham S. Stein P.C., with offices in Palo Alto and beyond.

Voters in the congressional district, which spans portions of San Mateo and Santa Clara counties, will receive ballots by May 4. This district stretches from the coastal areas of Pacifica and Half Moon Bay south through Silicon Valley.

Pleasant music filled the air all morning and early afternoon at the Willow Glen, San Jose, Farmers Market, where Jotham began his day. Jotham met many voters, including a very nice, talkative vendor, who had lots to say about the two parties messing up our country. The vendor didn’t have many kind words for a candidate who showed up a few weeks ago with a camera crew and entourage for a professional photo shoot, and after the shoot, left the Market without speaking with anyone. Jotham, of course, answered every question the vendor had. More great music followed at the Mountain View Multicultural Festival, where Jotham met with voters after Willow Glen.

Silicon Valley Style: Jotham’s Simple, Smart Campaign Card

Jotham’s campaign is taking a Silicon Valley-style approach to connecting with voters. Instead of traditional flyers, his campaign literature is a simple 3”x3” teal card featuring “Stein for Congress” on one side and a QR code to the campaign website on the other. It’s designed to fit easily in your pocket, save paper, and instantly connect voters to more information.

The approach is working. Many voters scan the QR code on the spot, sometimes even handing the card back so it can be shared with someone else. Jotham has distributed thousands of these cards across the district, including this weekend at the Saratoga Farmers Market, the Los Gatos Wine Walk, and the Palo Alto Farmers Market on California Avenue.
